Recovering Deleted Images

Q: How do I recover images on my memory card that I've mistakenly deleted?

A: First, immediately stop taking pictures using the memory card with the deleted images. Since every new picture you take can overwrite 1 or more of the deleted pictures, it is important to attempt to recover the erased pictures before using the card further.

Second, some newer Pentax Optio camera models contain an image recovery feature to reclaim deleted images. Look in the index of your camera manual for "Recovering images" or call our Customer Service Department at 1 800 877-0155 for further assistance.

If your camera does not have an image recovery feature, there are image recovery softwares available that are not camera specific. While Pentax has not done any testing, one such software is "Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery 3.1," available at http://www.download.com .
