K-7 Battery Grip

Q: Is there a battery grip available for the K-7?

A: Yes. An optional Battery Grip D-BG4 with vertical shutter release button is available for the K-7. The battery grip will accept either a rechargeable lithium-ion battery D-Li90, or by using a different battery tray, 6 AA batteries. Along with a battery in the camera, using a second D-Li90 battery in the grip will double the number of recordable images. It is also possible to power the camera solely by using either the D-Li90 battery or 6 AA lithium, Ni-MH or alkaline batteries in the grip.

Note: If both the camera body and grip contain a battery, the [Select Battery] setting in the [Set-up3] menu allows you to specify which battery is used first (Auto Select, Body First or Grip First).

Note: Battery Grips D-BG1 (for the *ist D), D-BG2 (for the K10d/K20D) and D-BG3 (for the K200D) cannot be used with the K-7.
