Interpupillary Distance Adjustment

Q: What is interpupillary distance?

A: This is the distance from the center of the pupil of one eye to the center of the pupil of the other eye.

Properly adjusted, one single image circle is formed from two separate images. Interpupillary adjustment is made with the “hinge” of the binocular. While looking through your binocular, simply grasp both barrels and adjust the hinge as required to move barrels closer together or further apart, in order form a single "converged" image. Because interpupillary distance may vary from one user to the next, each user must adjust this to meet their needs.
