Subject Not in Focus (Optio E80) Last Updated: Mon Nov 16 16:42:27 -0500 2009
Q: Why is my subject not in focus?
A: Certain subjects can pose problems for autofocus systems, such as subjects with little or no contrast (blue sky, white walls, etc.), dark or dimly lit subjects, finely patterned subjects, fast-moving subjects, and scenes shot through windows or mesh. To photograph subjects that may be difficult for the autofocus system, try to focus on an object that is at the same distance as your subject and lock the focus (by pressing the shutter release button down halfway).
