Q: Should I observe any precautions when using the Optio W60 under water? A: When using the camera in the water, please pay attention the following:   [Before using the camera in the water] *To enhance the waterproof performance of the camera, the front of the lens is protected by glass.As any dirt or water on the glass will affect the quality of pictures taken, the glass should be kept clean at all times.

Q:  Can the Optio W60 be used on the beach? A:  Yes, however please pay attention to the following:Leaving the camera on the sand at the beach may cause the camera to exceed its operating temperature (-10℃ to 40℃) or cause the speaker or microphone to became blocked with sand. Be sure to check that the battery / card / terminal cover is securely locked.

Q: Can the Optio W60 be used in the bath or hot springs?A: It is possible, but not  recommended. *Note: The temperature range in which the camera can be used is -10°C to 40°C (14°F to 104°F), however, if the camera is subjected to rapid temperature changes, condensation may form on the inside and outside of the camera, therefore it is not recommended to use the camera in the bath or hot springs.

Q: Does the Optio W60 meet JIS class 8 (IP58)? A: The performance is evaluated under the specified conditions of JIS C0920.     It is tested using talcum powder and meets the standards.
